After receiving its own defibrillators (AED), Dudley-based shopping centre intu Merry Hill has announced it is embarking on a mission to help save lives in its local area. The team has committed to training over 2,500 residents on how to use defibs by the end of this year!
In partnership with a local charity, staff members have received training to become defibrillator instructors, and are now going out into the area to teach this life-saving skill to others.
As part of its community training program, over 300 pupils at Redhill School were taught how to use the one, and the company even donated an AED to the site!
The shopping centre’s staff regularly have to perform first aid on customers, and it has big plans to go even further with this life-saving support in 2019.
